HeatingConsulting.ca runs two kinds of engagement for heating companies, a fixed 90-day program and an ongoing monthly retainer, and nothing else. It is deliberately small. One person, Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads every engagement from the first conversation to the last report, which is the main reason owners choose it over a larger agency.
What the company is
HeatingConsulting.ca is a Canadian consulting and digital marketing service for furnace, boiler, heat-pump and hydronic companies. Our home is Vancouver, British Columbia, and our parent group is the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies.
The group has two halves worth knowing. Sedighi.ca is the company through which Ali does growth, marketing and technology consulting, and it owns brands such as HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca. SAZ.ca, short for Strategy & Acceleration Zone, is the Canadian firm Ali founded for strategy, AI and revenue acceleration work; he is its Founder and Managing Partner.
We are not a contractor. We do not install, repair, inspect or service heating equipment, and we never compete with our clients for jobs. Our programs cover the business side of a heating company, meaning calls, bookings, marketing, pricing of plans and measurement. They are not engineering, mechanical design, inspection or code-compliance services.
Ali Sedighi, MBA
Ali holds an MBA in Technology Management. He has worked in digital marketing for 17+ years, starting in 2007 when he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency. He now lives and works in Vancouver.
He later started Conv.ca, which specialises in conversion-rate optimisation, and MyAutomation.ca. His client work has spanned Canada, the USA and Dubai.
In heating and HVAC specifically, Ali has built 150+ live HVAC websites. The portfolio includes CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca, Roma Heating & Cooling, CanroHeat.ca, BCWide.ca and HeatLand, among others. That is where the checkpoints in our programs came from: seeing, company after company, that the gains were in the call log and the booking rate before they were in the ad budget. The results page covers the published numbers.
How we work
Five habits run through every engagement.
- Baseline before opinion. Nothing is changed until the starting numbers are written down. See measurement and the day-1 baseline.
- Few fixes, ranked. A day-30 fix list never runs past five items, and each one has an owner in your company.
- Everything in writing. Findings, scope, prices and the day-90 recommendation are written documents you keep.
- Your accounts stay yours. Google Business Profile, ads, analytics and the website remain in your company's name.
- Honest endings. If the program has done its job, the report says so, even when the right next step is to stop.
Why a heating-only focus
Heating companies have a calendar unlike almost any other trade. A furnace or boiler shop can earn a large share of its year in a few cold months, then fight for work through the shoulder seasons. Phone handling at peak, maintenance plans that carry the quiet months, and timing marketing to the first cold week matter more here than in most businesses.
That calendar is why our programs are timed to the season. The guide on starting on the heating calendar explains how, and the areas page shows how timing shifts from coastal BC to the Prairies and the North.
What working with one person means
A founder-led service has trade-offs, and you should hear them plainly. The benefit is continuity: the person who reads your day-1 numbers is the person who writes your day-90 report, and nothing is lost in a hand-off. The cost is capacity. Ali takes on a limited number of programs at a time, so start dates are agreed in advance, and a program may need to begin a few weeks after you first call. If you need a large team on site every week, a bigger firm will suit you better, and we will say so.
How to reach us
Call, text or email. There are no forms, chat widgets or booking calendars on this site, by design. The contact page explains what to include in a first message and what happens next.
Frequently asked questions
Is HeatingConsulting.ca a large firm?
No, and we do not pretend to be. Ali Sedighi leads every program and retainer himself. When marketing execution is needed, it runs through HVAC.Agency under its published plans.
Where are you based?
Vancouver, British Columbia. We work with heating companies in every province and territory, in person or by video call as well as by phone, text and email.
What is the connection to HVAC.Agency?
They are sister brands under Sedighi.ca. HeatingConsulting.ca runs the 90-day programs and retainers; HVAC.Agency publishes the marketing plans that can run alongside them when a client wants the marketing done for them.
Do you do any installation or service work?
Never. We are not an HVAC contractor. We advise and market heating businesses and never touch equipment, permits or code questions.
