Two kinds of cost can appear on a HeatingConsulting.ca proposal. The consulting itself, meaning the 90-day program or an advisory retainer with Ali, is quoted in writing because its scope depends on your company. The marketing work, if you want it run for you, uses the published HVAC.Agency plans below. Every price is in Canadian dollars, and Canadian clients add GST/HST based on their province (GST and QST in Quebec).

Prices in Canadian dollars. Sales tax is added based on the client's province (as of October 2026, CRA rates): 5% GST in Alberta, BC, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Yukon, NWT and Nunavut; 13% HST in Ontario; 14% HST in Nova Scotia; 15% HST in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and PEI; 5% GST plus 9.975% QST in Quebec. Provincial sales tax (BC, Manitoba, Saskatchewan) only where it applies to the service. See full pricing on hvac.agency/pricing.

The two consulting formats: quoted in writing

The 90-day heating program is quoted as a single engagement. The quote lists what is included, the four checkpoints on day 1, 30, 60 and 90, and the payment schedule.

An advisory-only monthly retainer, meaning the monthly scorecard, review call and priority list without us running your marketing, is also quoted in writing, as a monthly amount.

We do not publish a number for either because a number without scope is misleading. A single-location furnace shop with one leaking phone line and a four-crew company with three service lines and two ad agencies are not the same job.

Published marketing plans (if we also run the marketing)

When the day-30 findings call for work on the website, local SEO or ads, and you want it done for you, it runs on the published HVAC.Agency plans:

Plan Price What it covers
Starter $2,998/month A website built with SEO-ready service pages, local SEO and your Business Profile, a basic Google and Meta ads setup, a monthly report, plus hosting and upkeep
Growth $4,498/month The Starter scope, plus deeper SEO and content work, paid ads across several channels, retargeting, a CRM connection, review requests and a weekly report
Elite $8,998/month The Growth scope, plus video, PR outreach, a named account manager, a live dashboard, a strategy call each month and custom reports

A website on its own is a one-time project. Essential costs $3,500 for a custom site of five to seven pages, delivered in two to three weeks, then $149 a month for hosting and upkeep. Professional costs $6,500 for ten to fifteen conversion-focused pages over three to four weeks, then $249 a month including conversion work. Enterprise costs $12,500 for unlimited pages and locations over four to six weeks, then $449 a month for full management.

Before any of that, the 7-day free trial looks at your current marketing, how your website performs, where you stand in search and how you compare with competitors. It needs no credit card and carries no lock-in.

What drives the cost of a program

Four things change a consulting quote more than anything else:

  1. Number of service lines. Furnace service only is simpler than furnaces, boilers, heat pumps and water heaters together.
  2. State of the data. If the baseline has to be rebuilt from paper and memory, the first month takes more work.
  3. Number of vendors involved. Each outside agency or phone provider adds coordination.
  4. Locations. Two branches in different cities usually means two baselines.

Season matters too, though not to the price. A program started in the first week of the rush loses half its value, which the guide on starting on the heating calendar explains.

How to judge whether it pays

Use your own numbers. Take your average gross profit per booked job and divide it into the quoted cost of the program. That is how many extra booked jobs the 90 days must produce, or protect, to break even.

Example: say gross profit per booked job is $210 and the written quote, divided by $210, comes to 30. The program then needs 30 extra booked jobs across the season to pay for itself. If the day-1 baseline shows you missing 60 calls a month at peak, 30 jobs is a modest target; if your answer rate is already 95%, it may not be, and Ali will tell you so before you sign. These figures illustrate the arithmetic only; they are not a price.

Choosing the format on cost

  • One clear problem and a limited budget: the 90-day program, then decide.
  • Steady company wanting ongoing judgement: an advisory retainer.
  • Marketing that needs rebuilding and running: a published plan, with or without consulting.

The FAQ covers contracts and ownership, and the contact page explains how to ask for a written quote.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the 90-day program not priced on the website?

Because scope varies too much between a two-van furnace shop and a multi-crew boiler and heat-pump company. A written quote names the scope, the four checkpoints and the payment schedule, so you know the full cost before you agree.

What does the 7-day free trial include?

An audit of your marketing, a check on how your website performs, a look at your search visibility and a comparison with nearby competitors. No credit card is needed, and it shows you how we think before you commit to anything.

Is GST or HST included in the prices?

No. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and heating companies add GST/HST for their province, or GST and QST in Quebec.

Are there setup fees or cancellation fees?

The HVAC.Agency family works on a no lock-in basis. Any other terms, such as payment schedules or notice periods, are written into your proposal before you sign, so ask for them there.

Do I need a marketing plan to do the 90-day program?

No. The program stands on its own. A marketing plan only makes sense if, after the diagnosis, you want us to run the website, SEO or ads rather than your own people or an existing vendor.
