What happens next

  1. You reach out

Call, text or email with a line about your business.

  2. We reply

Usually within one business day, on the channel you chose.

  3. You talk to a senior strategist

A focused conversation about your goals, market and numbers.

Three ways to reach us

  • Call (604) 632-4959 if you want to talk it through. If Ali is on another call, leave a short message with your name and company.
  • Text the same number if you are in a truck or between jobs. Short is fine.
  • Email Ali@Sedighi.ca if you want to attach numbers, such as last season's call volume or an old agency report.

There are no forms, chat windows or booking links on this site. That is deliberate: a heating owner's time is better spent on one direct conversation than on a questionnaire.

What to include in a first message

The more of these you include, the more useful the first reply will be. None is required.

  1. Your company name and the province or city you work in
  2. What you install and service: furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, hydronic, water heaters
  3. Rough size: trucks, technicians or install crews
  4. The main problem in one sentence
  5. Any numbers you already know: monthly calls, average ticket, maintenance members
  6. Whether you are leaning toward the 90-day heating program or the monthly retainer, or not sure

A template you can copy:

Hi Ali, this is [Your name] from [Business name] in [City, Province]. We do [furnaces / boilers / heat pumps] with [number] trucks. Our main problem is [one sentence]. Last winter we had roughly [number] calls a month. Could we talk about [the 90-day program / a retainer]?

What happens next

  1. First reply. Ali answers with either a time to talk or one or two questions that help him understand the situation.
  2. First conversation. About 30 minutes. He will ask about your calls, bookings and season, and tell you which format he would choose in your position, or whether neither makes sense yet.
  3. Written proposal. If there is a fit, you receive scope, checkpoints, price and terms in writing. Nothing starts until you agree.
  4. Day 1. The kickoff and baseline described on the measurement page.

If you would like to see how we think before committing, the 7-day free trial covers an audit of your marketing, website and competitors, with no credit card. Details are on the pricing page.

Before you get in touch

It helps to have a rough answer to one question: of the calls you received last winter, how many became booked visits? If you do not know, that is useful information in itself, and it is often where the first program begins. The heating company scorecard guide explains how to find out from your phone and dispatch records.

Please do not send customer personal information, such as names, addresses or phone numbers, in a first message. We do not need it to start, and the program sets up access properly when it does.

Common reasons heating owners get in touch

  • The office cannot keep up with calls in the first cold weeks, and the owner suspects jobs are being lost.
  • An agency has been running ads for a year and nobody can say what a booked job costs.
  • Summer revenue keeps falling while payroll stays the same.
  • The company is adding heat pumps and wants the line measured separately from furnaces and boilers.

Any of these is a reasonable first message. You do not need to have decided between the 90-day program and the retainer before you write.

Who you are contacting

HeatingConsulting.ca is a Canadian consulting service for heating companies within the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, run from Vancouver, BC, by Ali Sedighi, MBA. We are not a heating contractor, so please do not contact us for a repair, installation or emergency; call a licensed local company. More about who we are is on the about page.

Frequently asked questions

Can I text instead of calling?

Yes. Many heating owners text between jobs. A text with your company name, province and the main problem is enough for Ali to reply with a time to talk or a first question.

Will I be put into a sales sequence?

No. There is no automated follow-up and no marketing list. We only email people who contact us first, and only about what they asked.

Do you meet in person?

Yes. Heating owners can meet Ali in person or by video call, and programs and retainers also run by phone, text and email across all of Canada.

What happens after the first conversation?

If a program or retainer looks like a fit, you receive a written proposal with scope, checkpoints and price. If it does not, Ali will say so and, where he can, suggest what to do instead.
